A Stockman’s Outback

This international love edition of Erotic Life magazine features a handful of sexies all around the world. I had the honor of representing the amazing country (and continent) – Australia. When I think of Australia, I think of the breath-taking and stunning Outback (and the gorgeous Great Barrier Reef, but that is another story!). Vast, remote land that stretches as far as the eye can see, the Outback is one of the largest natural areas on Earth. Full of wildlife and rich in many different ecosystems, Australia’s Outback is the prime setting for the photo that represents Australia.

To pay further homage to the culture of Australia, I’ve taken on the role as a stockman. Stockmen tend to the livestock at stations, usually sheep or cattle. Traditionally riding horse and using a stockwhip for stock work, stockmen usually wear a felt Akubra hat and adorn a plaited kangaroo skin belt that holds the stockman’s pocket knife. I, however, opted for a bowie knife in the naked version that can be seen in Erotic Life’s magazine here. I mean, have you seen that thing? As Crocodile Dundee says, “Now, -that’s- a knife!”

I’d Pause My Game For You

I’ve been slowly working on my man cave (keyword: slowly) which is pretty much half a gaming/entertainment room and half a sectioned off red room. Despite my man cave being catered to just me, I still like having Livvy there with me. I have a gaming chair for her and a gaming chair for me, though now that I think about it, she really doesn’t need her own dedicated chair because I just have her sit in my lap anyway. She knows that if I am in the middle of a gaming session, she could plop her sexy self into my lap and my full attention would be on her right away.

I'd Pause My Game For You | Mine & Yours

Stockholm&Lima made this nice Subtlety pillow that has found its way permanently in my game room. That is the cushion pillowy seat that I am sitting on with my beautiful love. The pillow serves as a sleek cushion with 12 outstanding singles and 9 bento couples animations:

12 Solo (non bento) animations male/female mixed
4 m/f bento cuddles *exclusive*
5 m/f bento adult animations (in the adult version only) *exclusive*

Ladies and gentlemen, let me take a moment and highlight Stockholm&Lima for a sec. I’ve been a longtime fan of Surrealia Anatine’s work for ages, dating back to when she owned ANA_mations. Talk about blast from the past, right? In fact my earliest items from her dates all the way back to 2010. You might be saying.. Damn, Caleb. Obsessed much? Well tell you what – Surrealia’s animations are worth being obsessed about because I know she makes quite a few of them on her own.

Her animations feel so natural and fluid, and are so well made. She is one of the very few creators I know who make their own quality animations to put in their products. Now, she has created her own bento animations! Though the pillow only has a few bento cuddles and bento adult animations, these are so well made and natural-looking. The face, the eyes, the hands, the fingers, and the body all move in a single animation – AMA_zing! (see what I did there? …. do you see it? lol I make myself laugh sometimes)

Anyway, check out a corner of my man cave gaming room with the Subtlety pillow actually nestled in my bigger gaming chair below.

Oh! I’m going to mention it in the credits, but I also wanted to actually note it here too, you’ll see Ariskea’s [Press Start] Vintage Girl Game[DVA] in the background and you’ll probably notice that your version is not the same. That is because I modded mine. I flipped the outer texture to showcase Ariskea’s original art for the arcade machine of D.Va. I also added my own title texture for the game since it didn’t have one and the rest of my arcade machines had a name to them. So I made up my own, playing off D.Va’s name with a taunt she would use in the actual Overwatch game. I also used the coin slots from Stockholm&Lima: Arcade Machine’s to the Ariskea one just for that retro pay to play style that I am used to.

Manners Maketh Man

I log into Second Life and my fiancée goes, “Why are you dressed like Clark Kent?” Mind you, the previous day I was getting my outfit ready for this Kingsman inspired post and I was shocked that Livvy’s first thought was Clark Kent! I gasp and reply back with bewilderment (and a little offended that my outfit was not obvious enough), “What?! I am dressed like a Kingsman!” “A what?” she questions, clearly having lived under a rock for several years. My brows flatline and I just stare at her. “You’ve not seen Kingsman?!” I thought everyone has seen it! It’s the hip modern version of James Bond! But you, my wonderful readers, surely have seen the movie, yes? Nod yes and everything will be okay.

MadPea made this awesome iSpy gacha set for Man Cave and the -first- thing I thought was Kingsman. So, of course I had to go with the inspiration, right? The set pays homage to the more classic spy whose kit is more low-tech yet cleverly lethal, which is why I immediately thought Kingsman/James Bond.

There are 18 Common and 2 Rare items in the MadPea iSpy gacha set. This set also includes a fun little puzzle that, when solved, gives a special prize and brand new achievement!

There are quite a few wearable and animated prizes that will definitely be a fun surprise for any aspiring agent such as the 15py handgun, blade cane, grappling hook, poison pen, and jet pack!

The 15py handgun comes in black, silver, or steel and fires shots! Just attach the handgun to your avatar and enter mouselook. Click to shoot and a bang of light fires from the weapon.

The blade cane is actually my favorite. Sleek and stealthy, this cane has two animations cycle through while standing with the cane. Then, for some fun action, click on the cane for an epic battle pose animation which will deploy the blade at the end of the cane!

The grappling hook is pretty neat and functions similarly to any other weapon. Attach to your avi, go into mouselook, and click to shoot out a hook!

The poison pen is rather cool. When clicked, the pen activates a poison cloud, perfect for those sticky situations for a lethal ambush with an innocuous looking writing utensil. I keep this in my pocket at all times.

The Jet Pack will raise your avatar and lower it by using PgUp and PgDown, respectively. When pressing PgUp, the Jet Pack turns on, allowing you to fly all around with unlimited fuel! Then when pressing PgDown, you’ll lower until you hit the ground and the Jet Pack will automatically turn off.

#SecondLifeChallenge – Let’s Chat Over Some Coffee

Let's Chat Over Some Coffee | Mine & Yours

So it has been several years since I have participated in a Strawberry Singh weekly challenge (#SecondLifeChallenge). This is a great one to dive back into since I’d be curious how differently it might be in the next year to come. To check out Berry’s challenge, go here.

1. How long have you been blogging or vlogging about Second Life?
In terms of consistency, I’ve been actively blogging since July 2017. So I guess you can say I am a baby blogger. lol what’s funny is, I created a previous blog back in 2016 – spent weeks coding it to look just the way I liked it and getting all set up on its own host with its own domain (go big or go home, right?), but only ended up doing a small handful of blogs before I became demotivated. The lack of drive was not blog-related, however, and was more about things that were happening around me in my SL/RL that kept me down. I am in a much better place now though with an amazing and supportive girlfriend (who has been blogging for YEARS and has such a fantastic work/blog ethic that inspires me) and two loving daughters who make being an SL dad so utterly enjoyable.

2. Why did you start blogging or vlogging?
I like making realistic scenes to celebrate whatever I am featuring, and capturing a specific moment that tells a story. It allows me to be creative in the story of what I want to present in an image. In a sense, it is a sense of being in control despite the fact that I am allowing my creativity to run wild. The pictures I take are personal, relating to me as a person in some way. There has to be some significance behind the blog for me to take the time to create a scene, take a picture, edit it, and then write about it. And time, for me, has always been a precious commodity.

3. How many times a week/month do you post?
I probably post 2 blogs a month right now, but the goal is to do at least one post a week. As stated in the previous section, time is limited for me. I am always making a deliberate choice what to be spending my time on, taking into account the cost of time spent vs the benefit of it. So, when I do post a blog, it’ll definitely be of quality and of significance.

4. Do you keep track of how many hits or subscribers you have?
No, not at this early time and stage.

5. Which electronic devices do you use to blog/vlog with?
My desktop.

6. Do you monetize your blog or vlogs? If so, do you mind sharing how much you make approximately? (You don’t have to answer the second question)
No, I do not.

7a. What has Second life blogging or vlogging taught you?
That sometimes I am too ambitious for my own good/limitations/time restraints lol. I’d have this big ideal and once I start executing it all out, I realize that it’s taking more time than I can realistically commit too. Blogging is still teaching me that, but I am learning as I go 🙂 Blogging has definitely helped improve the way I take pictures and edit them, making the final product much more rewarding.

7b. (A spin off from #7 and my own question) What do you hope Second Life blogging or vlogging will teach you?
I do know that I spend probably triple the time Livvy takes to put out a blog, as she is seasoned and experienced, while I am still relatively new. I am hoping that with more practice, blogging becomes a lot more intuitive for me, and that with a practiced hand, I can create scenes faster, take pictures faster, and edit them faster. Of course, like all bloggers, I’d like to constantly get better at editing photos in Photoshop as well.

8. Do you feel like Second Life blogging or vlogging takes away from your real life?
It does not because I do not let it. My RL will always come first because that is where my past, present, and future is. Every weekday, I spend 1.5 hours driving to work (that is California traffic for you, but I do live 50 miles away from work so I guess that doesn’t help either lol), work 8-9 hours, drive back home for another 1.5 hours, take care of some house stuff, make dinner, and then plop into SL for two hours to spend with the SL family before going to bed. I am able to spend more time in SL on the weekends, usually Sunday as that is my relax day while Saturday is my errands and chores day. With that time, I can work on blogging a bit when I am not doing family SL time. I think it goes without saying that making sure my girlfriend and kiddos are happy first comes before blogging.

9. Do you have a mission statement for your blog or vlog, if so, what is it?
It’s a blog I share with my girlfriend, Livvy. And really, the blog is a published platform for us to just express ourselves whether it is just being creative, sharing an experience, or celebrating an awesome product. Livvy and I are two different kinds of bloggers which makes our blog rather unique and comprehensive. She likes showcasing the fashion, including everything from hair, accessories, clothing, shoes, and even the pose. I, on the other hand, like decor and events (not really shopping events but more interative events such as hunts). Sorry, gentlemen, but men’s fashion does not usually excite me. You can ask the girlfriend.. I am mostly shirtless and barefoot, changing only my pants. If not that, then I’m dressed up in some sort of suit. I am strange, I know.

10. Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers/vloggers.
I am new as it is lol. But here’s some tips anyway.

3. Establish a realistic blog schedule in regards to its frequency.
2. Engage, interact, and support people in the SL community or in out of world social platforms like Facebook, Plurk, and Flickr.
1. Have fun with your blog and be proud of your creation.

Bonus Question:

What kind of blogger/vlogger are you?
I’m the type of blogger that likes to highlight or feature a specific creation or event. Whatever it is I am featuring, it’s gotta be the hero of the image/blog. I try to steer away from creating product mosaics that clump a lot of creations into a single image. Instead, I’ll specifically choose select supporting products that can help complement the hero of the image/blog. I also like to tell a story through my blog, as each photo I post has special meaning behind them. There’s always an inspiration behind it that motivates me to put the time and effort into posting, so I like writing it out in the blog post.

Baywatch’s Turtlewatch

Once those famous drum beats and keyboard melody start for the Baywatch’s theme song I’m Always Here, you know exactly what show is starting on the TV. And just as iconic as the theme song is for Baywatch is also those slow-mo run scenes with the hunky studs and beautiful bombshell lifeguards. So Ella and I decided to make our own slow-motion Baywatch run scene on the beach, starring a group of incredibly sexy HEXtraordinary turtles. We were running so slow that the group of sea turtles nearly passed us by!

Today was a great day for a nice slow-mo run though. At first, Ella’s hair was blowing all sorts of crazy since the morning breeze was blowing faster than our slow-mo running pace. We finally got good stride and were able to get a decent shot together. Can you believe this is our first picture together ever?! I’ve known this Australian menace for years (we shared the same SL family back in the day) and we finally grabbed a photo together. Now she can send me all the Tim Tams and that awesome fluffy creamy pastry pie that she showed me, but I forgot what it is called and I learned the hard way to never google “Australian cream pie”.

P.S. The fluffy creamy pastry pie is actually called Pavlova.

P.S.S. How can you not have that Baywatch theme song stuck in your head now?!

5:04PM, Melrose Avenue

L.A. is where everything is at. Everything you can imagine. Los Angeles is home to rich, glamorous Hollywood stars and families barely getting by in concentrated poverty neighborhoods. Cornerstore mom and pop venues to Michelin star restaurants. Food from every culture. Music around the world. Art everywhere.

At any time, any place, many hearts who claim the diverse city of Los Angeles as home have such deep stories.

At 5:04PM, a mother of five is getting off her first job to pick up her kids from after school daycare before rushing off to her second job. A Hollywood-bound barista is sneaking in to work after leaving mid-shift for an audition. A boy is at marching band practice, pushing through endurance training to be the best in his drumline. A girl is getting dressed in her sexiest outfit before heading off to meet her friends at the club.

Me? At 5:04PM, I’m heading to Alfred’s coffee place on Melrose Avenue for a treat – a delicious macchiato in a chocolate cone – while I find some time to write this SL entry. Walking there, I’m surrounded in rich culture and art, blessed to be around such creativity and talent. The walls are covered in color and the streets are filled with people from every corner of the world. Welcome to L.A. – the city of dreams. What’s your story?

Hair Fair 2017 For Men

This year’s Hair Fair is quickly coming to a close (last day is Sunday, July 16th) and there were quite a few hair selection for the men. All donations go to Wigs for Kids, providing charitable assistance to children who have lost their hair due to medical issues. So while you shop, know that your contribution is going to a good cause!

I ended up picking up four different pieces, but one in particular stood out in its uniqueness. Argrace’s MIKAGE hair is no ordinary hair, featuring dripping wet hair strands and, most notably, a towel draped on top of the head. Certainly not an every day hair, but for the perfect situation, it is most definitely the perfect hair…like when I just hopped out of the shower after a long day. Nothing like washing off that summer heat with a nice cold shower.

MIKAGE is rigged mesh, coming in two sizes for men and eight sizes for women with varying size chest areas. The towel can be changed to six different colors: white, light blue, pink, light brown, dark brown, and navy blue.
You can get this awesome hair at Argrace’s vendor at Hair Fair. While you are there, be sure to check out all the other hairs, as there are quite a bit to choose from at the four total sims this year. To make it easy, male hairs can be easily located if you look above each store and checking if there is a male symbol there or not. This made shopping at the event so much easier! So no excuses – go check out the Hair Fair before it ends and support Wigs for Kids!
